The City Agriculture and Veterinary Department (CAVD), in partnership with DA–PhilRice Agusan, successfully distributed 4,005 bags of inbred rice seeds to farmers in Barangay Lemon and Barangay Pigdaulan last November 27,2025 under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Seed Program. This initiative ensures that our local rice farmers receive high-quality, certified inbred seeds that offer improved yield potential, stronger resistance to pests and diseases, and better adaptability to our local climate. With these quality seeds, farmers are better equipped for the upcoming planting season—helping boost productivity, reduce production costs, and enhance overall farm income. Farmer-beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to DA-PhilRice Agusan and the Butuan LGU for the continuous support and timely delivery of agricultural interventions.
